Ethan Schefft- Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) -- The Mustangs boys basketball team has been getting ready for the first game of the season tonight.

Mustang head coach Kaden Knott said, “The team looks good. They're giving a lot of effort and they're excited to see what they can do.”

Knott continued, “Students should come because we’re very excited. We’ve been doing a lot of work in the community, and I think you're going to see a whole new Mustang team.”

LRHS senior team member Jaydon Richmond agrees.

“People should come to the basketball game because there's going to be a lot of energy and will be able to see the difference between this year and the recent previous years," he said.

There will be free Chick-Fil-A sandwiches for the first 100 Mustangs who show up.

The tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the LRHS gymnasium and Mustangs are encouraged to wear neon.
