Milly Harvey – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Mustangs took a field trip to Manatee Technical College (MTC) with College and Career Adviser Vito Bavaro on Nov. 12.
Bavaro said that the field trip was to showcase all the exciting programs at Manatee Technical College (MTC) and that students got to learn the cost of the college and what they can expect to earn, as well as the fact that most MTC programs have a 100% job placement rate.
Senior Maximus Kalis attended the trip. He declared that “MTC was incredible! It had a variety of courses that were all interesting and they had so much to offer there… It made me leave contemplating my future and looking forward to it. I recommend all seniors at least take a tour there.”

Bavaro was asked about what impressive parts of the campus were, and he responded with the Wagner Hall and the full baking kitchen as his favorites.
Bavaro expressed that the most inspiring moments were “when students came to me after one of the tours and told me that this is what they wanted to do.”
