(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Mustangs were given the opportunity to give blood and save lives at an on-campus blood drive Wednesday.

By giving blood, students can save up to three lives within our community.

Blood Drive President Samantha Lia, senior, said, “We had a sign up for volunteers at lunches to go around trying to recruit people to donate blood.”

Junior Justin Green said “This was my first time giving blood, I wasn't nervous.”

Junior Adalyn Huffman said, “It was my first time giving blood so I was a little scared, but it went well.  I didn’t feel lightheaded or anything.”

Mustangs receive gift cards for their donation. The first donation is a $10 gift card. Second is $15, Third is $20, and fourth is $50.
