Kayla Goodwin - Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Mustang swimmers competed in their state championship meet on Nov. 14 in Ocala.
Senior Payton Griffin said, “The state meet went very well! I was happy with my performance. I made finals in both of my events and was right around my best times. Overall, the team had a great state meet, and I am very happy with how my last states went.”
The girl's results include -
Griffin- 200 Freestyle 16th place with a time of 1:54.56 and 500 Freestyle 13th place with a time of 5:02.74
Zharra Conner- 200 IM 11th place with a time of 2:09.69
The boys' results include-
Boys 200 Medley Relay (Kyle Goodwin, Caden Fluck, Jaxon Griffin, Daniel Snitkovsky) 13th place with a time of 1:38.30
Boys 400 Freestyle Relay (Goodwin, Griffin, Matthew Polhamus, Snitkovsky) 14th place with a time of 3:14.44
Daniel Snitkovsky- 50 Freestyle 7th place with a time 21.22 and 100 Breaststroke 7th place with a time of 57.76
Kyle Goodwin- 100 Fly 15th place with a time of 51.85 and 100 back 14th place with a time of 53.00

Senior Matthew Polhamus said, “States was an amazing experience and there is no other way I would have wanted to end my High School swimming career. Everyone swam really well and most importantly brough great attitudes and work ethics to the meet. The memories made at states alone will stay with me forever.”
