The program invites all local business leaders including medical, construction, sports management, marketing, sales, finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, and non-profit management.
Kent Jimison of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance, one of the people attending and observing the presentation, stated, “This year we elected to focus the program on ‘soft skills,’ with a particular emphasis on communication- widely recognized as one of the most valuable competencies students can develop.”
All speakers will share insights into their career path and will offer different perspectives on the future of their industry.
Their goal is to help students understand which foundational courses to prioritize and to focus on the essential skills needed for success.
Watson also shared, “Our hope is that the students gain skills to be able to authentically connect with others, demonstrating kindness, support, encouragement, and confidence as they communicate.”
