“I am thrilled to announce that last year and this year I was awarded the full $3,000 grant. Last year, the grant was used for the environmental club students to be able to attend the Mote Marine Aquarium Field Sampling Techniques field trip,” Phelps states.
She plans to do the same with this year's grant as she says that the students had an amazing experience at the Aquarium last year as well as expanding their knowledge of our local environment and had great learning opportunities.
