Stokely Browne – Mustangs Ahead

(Lakewood Ranch, FL) - The annual Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Powderpuff Flag Football game always delivers a mix of school spirit, friendly rivalry, and plenty of entertainment.

Students packed the sidelines Wednesday on the football field as both cheerleaders and players took their positions. With the girls playing and the boys cheerleading, it created a crazy atmosphere.

This year’s matchup featured The Green Team against the White team.

The boys turned cheerleaders stole the spotlight countless times with their loud cheers and over-the-top reactions.

Senior running back Hayden Zimmerman for the white team said that “We went in with a lot of confidence, but in the end it wasn’t enough.”

As the Green Team was down big with little time left, the crowd went crazy as they announced the last touchdown was worth 40 points.

As the clock ran down, the Green Team scored the last touchdown.

The final score was 46 - 26 with the Green team coming out on top.
