(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - Lakewood Ranch High School’s (LRHS) Key Club is officially stepping into a bigger role this season as a sponsor of Night With The Stars Prom, a special event created for students with disabilities.
Night With The Stars is scheduled for April 11 at Sarasota’s Lee Weterington Boys and Girls Club.
Along with sponsoring the event, Key Club members will also be volunteering their time to help make the night memorable.
This year, Key Club will focus on decorating the prom, helping transform the venue into a welcoming and exciting space.
Members will also assist with donations for Cinderella’s Closet, which provides prom attire to students who may not otherwise have access. The donation effort will take place in March at the Manatee Performing Arts Center.

LRHS Key Club adviser Sharon Barhorst shared her excitement about the partnership.
“This is such a meaningful event, and the students are genuinely excited to be part of it,” she said. “Being able to support Night With The Stars through volunteering and donations shows the heart of Key Club and the impact students can have when they work together.”
Night With The Stars Prom Inc. officially welcomed Lakewood Ranch Key Club as a sponsor, recognizing both the club’s financial contribution and its commitment to service. The sponsorship helps support the event’s mission of creating an inclusive, joyful prom experience for students of all abilities.
