(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - The Lakewood Ranch High School soccer teams continue their advance through the state playoffs.
The girls' soccer team won their regional quarterfinal game against Charlotte High School 3-0.
They have a record of 14-2-3 and are scheduled to play against Sickles (12-4-4) in the regional semifinals at 7 p.m., Feb. 11 at home.
Junior Avary Shirley said that “We were connecting really well with each other last game, and if we keep playing like that, we can make it far.”

Additionally, the boys' varsity soccer team picked up their sixth consecutive win last Friday, dominating the Charlotte Fightin’ Tarpons 3-0.

The Mustangs will play the Sickles Gryphons (13-5-1) in the semifinal round at 7 p.m., Feb. 12 at home. Head Coach Cole Richardson hopes for a big turn out to support the Mustangs.
"I am going to have pizza for the student section," she said. "Would love a good crowd."
The boys' varsity team (18-0-2) is now ranked first in the district.
Senior Gabe Lara said, “We are really excited to be playing in regional semifinals, and we believe we have what it takes to go far this year. Last game we were able to score three goals early and our defense has been playing great, allowing us to remain undefeated.”
