Josie Kropfl – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) varsity boys wrestling team was crowned 2026 Manatee County Champions this weekend. In the tournament, the Mustangs beat Southeast, Bayshore, Palmetto, Parrish, Braden River, and Manatee High Schools.
Along with the team triumph, a handful of Mustangs were individually recognized as county champions.
Varsity champions include junior Ricardo Rengifo and senior Mason Guinta.
The junior varsity (JV) champions are sophomore Jared Guyre, junior Mike Reda, sophomore Ayden Doan, junior Cannon Thacker, and junior Noah Ryan.

Last, but not least, the girls Mustang champions include junior Ava Bell and Vanessa Rodriguez-Gallo.
Junior varsity (JV) boys, furthermore, won first as a team, with Skylar Dinh, Jaxon Morgan, Tristan Richardson, and Gabriel Maracahipe all placing second or third on the podium.
High placing girls from this match include junior Sophia Pereira, Livia Zamperlini-Ramos, Lani Pace, and junior Francesca Bisordi who also placed high on the podium.
