Aiden Mandel – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - On Tuesday, February 11th, Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) baseball had their first regular season game. Both junior varsity (JV) and varsity played Braden River on home turf.
The varsity Mustangs lost 4-3 after outstanding performances from both teams' pitching staffs. Lakewood Ranch has now lost to Braden River five times in a row on the varsity level.

The JV Mustangs, on the other hand, had a fantastic start to their season. They smashed Braden River 18-3.
Varsity Junior pitcher Bryson Baas gave his opinion on the first game, “For my first appearance on Var, I did well and I'm proud of this team.”
Varsity Sophomore Colton Searcy on his second opening day on Varsity said, “I’m feeling really good about the team. Braden River is an extremely strong team and almost coming off with the win is a great start.”
