Avery Stewart – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) boys and girls soccer teams have advanced to the regional finals.
The boys have a record of 19-0-2 and are scheduled to play at 7 p.m. on Feb. 17 at home after a 3-0 win against Sickles.
Head Coach Vito Bavaro said, “The boys are playing really well right now, they are in sync, and they know what they have to do to win the championship.”

Meanwhile, the Lady Mustangs advanced to regional finals after a 2-1 win against Sickles High School.
They have a record of 15-2-3.
The girls' team is scheduled to play Eastlake at 5 p.m. on Feb. 17 at home.
Junior Merritt Shea said, “Our team has made it so far this year, we just have to continue to play to our full potential in order to win regionals.”
LRHS vocational teacher and Stampede Adviser Joseph Cuervo said they plan to raise school support for the games.
“Stampede will be providing free pizza and drinks in-between the soccer games for all students that come, so pack the stands and support our soccer teams,” he said.
