(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) girls lacrosse team competed in three games during the week of Feb. 9.
The Lady Mustangs began with a dominant 21-2 win against Parrish High School on Feb. 12. The win marked an exciting game opener and showed the team’s potential early in the season.
The team faced a challenging doubleheader on Feb. 14, losing 8-11 at the First Academy and 6-18 at Oviedo. Despite the two losses, the games provided experience, especially for the players competing in their first ever lacrosse game.

“One takeaway was that it was our first time playing together as a full team, and for some girls, their first lacrosse game ever, but we still performed well,” said junior Gigi Canali. She added, “our team hopes to improve plays on attack and better understand our defensive zone.”
The Mustangs are motivated for more games in the upcoming week.
