(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) -Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Mustangs were asked what they did on Saturday, Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day.

Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate with not only your significant other, but also with your family and friends.

 As reported by the National Retail Federation (NRF), In 2026, Americans were expected to spend around $29.1 billion on gifts, which averages to about $200 per person.

LRHS Mustangs were asked what their experiences were on Valentine’s Day.

Senior Mariana Alvarez said, “I had a volleyball tournament on Valentine’s Day weekend.”

Senior Samantha Lia said, “I had a ‘Galentines’ with my friends and we played Just Dance.”

Sophomore Hunter Glickman said, “I hung out with my family.”

Senior Leah Erhardt said, “I went to my friend's house and we did Karaoke.”

Senior Sophia Platke shared, “My friends and I went to go visit our friend in Alabama for the weekend.”
