(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)--Mustangs who are interested in applying for an On-the-Job Training (OJT) position can pick up applications starting outside of room 591 and in Student Services.

OJT permits a student to be released from campus to work part-time in a job.

“It’s a class that gives me a step forward into being an adult and introduces me to the privilege to work”, said senior Mylee-Payne McDowell.

According to the Florida Department of Education, benefits of the program include “elective high school credit(s), valuable experience in the workplace which gives students a head start on their career, employability skills to be successful, employee training, financial earnings, and flexibility in the school day with release time from campus.”
