(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)--Lakewood Ranch High School’s (LRHS) Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America club (FCCLA) are preparing for their state conference.
To raise money to be able to go to states, the club is doing a flower gram fundraiser. The state conference is scheduled March 27-30 in Orlando.
During any lunch period, students can find the FCCLA stand in the cafeteria, where members of the club will be helping students send “flower grams” to their friends for just $5.
The gram consists of a plastic tulip, and students can choose between red, pink, yellow, or purple, a dum-dum lollipop, and a handwritten note where students just need to include the first and last name, and first period teacher of the student they wish to send the 'gram to.

The stand will be up at A, B, and C lunches every day until next Fri., Feb. 27.
The flower grams will be passed out to receiving students throughout the second week of March in their first period classes.
“I chose to send a flower gram to my older sister Molly, to show her I appreciate her,” said freshman Andrew Walfield
“I chose to buy a flower gram because it seemed like a fun idea. I liked that it doesn't just have to be something romantic but could also just be between two friends to have fun with,” Walfield continued.
