custodian art

Mairead Holland – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Our custodians here at Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) are some of the most important and overlooked staff members. We often forget to acknowledge all the hard work they put in to keep our grounds and classrooms clean for students and other staff members.

We also often fail to recognize the fact that LRHS custodians are people with rich, full lives of their own. One of our school custodians for example, Linda Perroni, is a profound artist and businesswoman.

Perroni works with multiple art mediums such as paint, ceramics, jewelry making, etc. She’s self-taught and has been creating art for 25 years.

Perroni said, “I never had anyone really teach me; I learned mostly from watching and doing it myself.”

She also added that she works mostly by herself, selling her art, but also has occasional help from her sister. Along with that, she has four children who share her love for the arts.

Perroni stated, “Art has taught me to live simply and calmly. I enjoy teaching others and sharing my love for art.

Her business, Perroni Designs, can be found on Instagram where she continues to create and share her unique and minimalistic works of art.
