(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) boys lacrosse team has started to find their groove as the season progresses.

Since their 2-2 start, the Mustangs have played four more games, improving their record to 5-3.

LRHS earned a strong district win on the road against Riverview Sarasota, 13-7.

The Mustangs followed that performance with a 13-6 victory at home against Berkeley Prep. Strong offensive play and the defense’s hot start allowed the Mustangs to control the game all the way until the final buzzer.

The boys ended their stretch with one of their most impressive offensive performances, an 18–12 victory over Bishop Verot. The high scoring game showcased the team's growing confidence on offense and their ability to capitalize on scoring chances.

With the Mustangs now being ranked number 25 in the State of Florida, they are looking to continue their momentum as they move into week five of the regular season.

Junior captain Reece Poole said, “I think that being ranked 25 in the state is a great starting point for our season. I think if we stay focused on winning, our ranking reflects it.”

Upcoming games against Venice, Mitchel, Newsome, IMG Academy, and Tampa Jesuit will provide more chances for the team to strengthen their record and continue growing.
