(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) is hosting prom from 7 - 11 p.m. on April 10 at the Marriott near the Bradenton Area Convention Center.
In previous years, LRHS’s prom was at the Hyatt in Sarasota, but due to construction they had to change locations.
The new Manatee County location is closer to LRHS. Junior Class Adviser and science teacher Tana Phelps said students should notice a big difference because “this year's prom is in a brand-new beautiful ballroom with tons of parking.”
LRHS hopes to continue to use this new location for future proms.

Phelps said the Marriott will be catering food for this year's prom. The food will consist of light appetizers and desserts. The menu is still being finalized.
Junior Isla Stewart said, “I am so excited to be attending my first prom this year. I love the theme of Enchanted Forest and can’t wait to see what they do with the decorations.”
The prom will be at 1 Haben Boulevard, Palmetto, Florida.
