Taylor Knoll – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) girls and boys tennis teams both had successful matches this past week.

The teams played Braden River High School (BRHS) on March 30. The match got rained out before finishing, so both the girls and boys final scores were marked as a tie.

On Tuesday, March 31, the Mustangs faced off against the Parrish Community Bulls.

The girls won all their matches, finishing 7-0, while the boys ended in a 2-5 loss after a hard-fought match.

The final match of the week was on Thursday, April 2 away against Venice High School.

The girls finished with a score of 3-4, narrowly losing to the Venice Indians after a long three-hour match. The boys also lost 3-4 after putting up a fight.

The Mustangs go into their last week of regular matches with the girls holding an 11-1 record and the boys at 6-5 .

The final two regular season matches are this week. The Mustangs are scheduled to play Palmetto High on April 7. It is an away match for the girls and a home match for the boys.

The last scheduled match is away at North Port High School on April 9 for both the girls and boys.
