Katerina Nino Demina – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) prom is happening this Friday at the Bradenton Convention Center.
This year's prom theme is “Enchanted Forest.”
Mustangs are excited about it. The big hall is designed to have a dance floor with lots of lights, making it feel like you're outside at night.
Junior Stokely Browne was asked who she is attending prom with. Browne said- “I'm going with a group of friends, which is going to be so much fun.”
Students will be dressed up in their best clothes, like long dresses, suits and even tuxedoes. The prom is hosted by the LRHS Junior Advisory Board (JAB). Their aim is to provide a fun time for everyone before the school year ends and the seniors leave.

Seniors get an excused absence from school early to get ready for prom. Juniors have the option to leave early, but those absences will not be excused.
Junior Kirsten Smallwood stated, “I spend a lot of time picking out my outfit and practicing my hair.”
There are many different styles of dresses, from sparkly ones to more simple and elegant looks.
Junior Maia Jimenez said, “Yes, I picked a sparkly dress and high heels because I love sparkles.”
