Taylor Knoll – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) boys and girls tennis teams finished their regular seasons Thursday night and are looking forward to districts.

The last regular season match was April 9 against North Port High School (NPHS).

The Mustangs had a strong finish to the season, with the girls winning 7-0 and the boys winning 5-2 against the NPHS Bobcats.

Freshman Marisa Sprungman said, “I thought it was a really good match, and we all played well and supported each other. It was a good ending, winning 7-0.”

Districts are scheduled for April 13 – 14 at Venice High School.

Mustang girls coach Hannah Legere said, “The hope is to win districts, make it to regionals, and hopefully make a state appearance. I also hope to have our number one doubles team to go straight to states.

The Mustangs are looking forward to the upcoming challenges and have high hopes for ending the season strong.
