Caroline Bartlomiejczuk- Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) track and field team competed at the Manatee County Championships at Manatee High School.

The team performed on April 10 which was the same night as prom so many of the top juniors and seniors weren’t at this meet.

The boys still won first place and the girls placed third.

Mustangs set over 17 new personal records.  These Mustangs placed first in their events -

  • Caden Keller, junior, 110-meter boys hurdles

  • Ethan VanHeerden, junior, boys pole vault

  • Liam St. John, junior, boys javelin

  • Jenna Jahn, freshman, 400-meter boys hurdles

  • Madison Goodwin. Senior, girls pole vault

  • Kiki Bullas, junior, girls javelin

Junior Zoe Coppock, who ran the 1600 meters said, “Even though we were missing many of our teammates that are very important on our team, we still did good and I’m happy for everyone who beat their personal record.”

The next meet is set for April 17 at Riverview High School in Tampa.
