Brooke Walker - Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) girls lacrosse team made history Tuesday night.
The Mustangs (11-6) defeated Sarasota Riverview (6-11) 15–8 in an intense district semifinal game at home.
It was a hard-fought game, but the Mustangs stayed in control and held onto their lead in the second half. The win was a major milestone for the program, marking their first ever district title.

“My favorite moment last night was hearing the final whistle and the whole team running onto the field together to celebrate,” said junior Gigi Canali.
Regional matchups will be announced 2 p.m. on Friday.
