Colin Hymes – Mustangs Ahead
(Lakewood Ranch, FL) - On Wednesday April 15, the Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) boys lacrosse team played in the 2A D12 district championship game against Manatee High School.
The Mustangs lost in a hard fighting battle, going down 16-7. The season is not yet over though. Because of the Mustangs' hard schedule and winning record (11-5), they can move onto the regional's tournament.
The Mustangs have not yet found out their next opponent, only knowing they will play again on April 24.

The boys Lakewood Ranch lacrosse team have played three district playoff games so far this season.
They started off playing Sarasota High School at home, in the first round. This was a great warmup game for the Mustangs as they won with ease, 13 – 4.
In the second round of the playoffs, the Mustangs faced Newsome, who they just recently beat in a close game 12 – 10. The Mustangs put on an absolute show in front of the home crowd, blowing them out 12 – 5.
