(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) girls flag football team has had a competitive and resilient season, with both explosive wins and hard-fought battles along the way.
After opening the year with a tough 6-0 loss to Manatee, Lakewood Ranch quickly found their momentum.
The Mustangs (9-6) responded with a dominant stretch, defeating Braden River 17-0, Palmetto 12-0, Sebring 34-0, and Southeast 19-0. This early run showcased the team’s defensive strength, as they recorded four shutouts in five games.

Midseason challenges tested the team's consistency. Losses to Northeast 20-6 and later to Parrish Community 20-13 revealed growth was needed in many areas.
The team traded wins and losses as the season progressed, adding notable victories over Riverview 36-0, Palmetto 18-0, and Bayshore 14-6.
Continuing into their season, the Mustangs are currently 9-6 in the regular season as well as 1-0 in district.
