(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Key Club received major recognition at the Florida District Convention (DCON) in Jacksonville, where clubs from across the state gathered to celebrate service, leadership, and membership growth.

At the convention, LRHS was awarded first place in Top Club Membership Growth (Bronze Division), with a 237% increase in membership over the past year. The achievement stood out among schools statewide, highlighting the club’s rapid growth and strong student involvement.

The Florida District of Key Club is one of the largest student-led service organizations in the country, bringing together thousands of students each year to share ideas, attend workshops, and recognize outstanding service leadership.

Club advisor and LRHS Media Specialist Audrey Dombroski stated, “This year’s success shows how much our students have stepped up in leadership, service, and commitment. They’ve truly taken what Key Club stands for and pushed it further than ever before.”

Along with that Key Club Lieutenant Governor Paulina Whyte stated how happy she is with the growth, “I'm so proud of your progress, keep going at the same pace!”

With this recognition, LRHS Key Club returns from DCON with a record-setting achievement and momentum heading into the rest of the service year.
