Josie Kropfl – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As April is nearing its end, Mustangs are scrambling to complete the 2026-27 Dual Enrollment (DE) registration process.
Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) offers students the opportunity to take college classes through University of South Florida (USF), State College of Florida (SCF), and Manatee Technical College (MTC). Each college requires students to fulfil a series of steps to enroll.
Currently, all students interested in the Dual Enrollment program are filling out the required forms and registering for their classes, working to meet the deadline of May 1.

In terms of forms, each college has their own specific requirements all students need to complete before they are fully enrolled.
For SCF, students are required to fill out the online DE contract found on SCF’s website, and the Course Approval Form, as well as the LRHS DE agreement, which needs to be handed in to the student services office.
For USF, students must meet with their designated counselor to fill out their course's approval form; and they fill out the USF course planning sheet, and the LRHS DE agreement on their own.
Lastly, for MTC, students must complete the online Dual Enrollment Online request form available on MTC’s website, following the MTC online application, and the LRHS DE agreement.
All forms, step-by-step guides, and further information can be located on LRHS’s website under counseling in the academic menu.
