Breanna Henry– Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - With Mother’s Day coming up, Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Mustangs are taking a moment to appreciate the women who do so much for them every day. For a lot of students, it’s not really about big gifts, but just showing love and saying thank you.
For many Mustangs, the holiday is about recognizing the sacrifices, guidance, and unconditional support they receive year-round. Whether it’s helping with late-night homework, offering advice during stressful moments, or simply being there, mothers continue to play a major role in students’ lives.

“I feel like Mother’s Day is a reminder to actually appreciate everything my mom does for me,” said senior Mckayla Ingrahm. “She’s always there no matter what.”
Other Mustangs agree that it’s the small things that matter most.
“It’s not really about gifts,” said Mustang Jerome Maltay. “It’s about showing love and letting your mom know you notice everything she does.”
Whether it’s spending time together or just saying something meaningful, Mustangs are keeping it simple and real this Mother’s Day.
