(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)— The 2026 Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Senior Awards Ceremony celebrated the hard work and achievements of graduating seniors just over a week before commencement.

The Wednesday night event began with the national anthem and alma mater, followed by opening remarks from LRHS Assistant Principal Thomas Bellantonio, who welcomed students, families, and faculty to the ceremony.

“It (Senior Awards) is one of my favorite events because I am able to see the fruits of these students’ labors,” said Bellantonio.  “Seeing their hard work and efforts paid off and the recognition they deserve is really special.”

Students also shared their excitement and gratitude. Alpha Diarra, recipient of the Peer Tutoring Award, said, “I’m excited. I can’t wait to use this award for good things, and I feel honored to be selected.”
