Paul Jordan – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) The National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) are both in their respective playoffs and Major League Baseball (MLB) is in the regular season. Once the NHL and NBA postseasons end, unless you’re a baseball fan, there won’t be much to watch.

This year all sports fans are lucky to have the FIFA World Cup, starting on June 11, across North America this year. Defending World Champions Argentina are early favorites along with Spain, Brazil, France, and England.

Enjoy it on TV unless you have the spare money around to drop $18,000 on a single World Cup Final ticket.

Racing also gets more coverage as most organized team sports start winding down. Formula 1 has large races in Canada and Europe, while NASCAR and IndyCar continue their respective seasons.

Watching fast cars is a perfect way for me, and a few others, to pass the time when there aren’t any other sports on.

Major Golf Events like the U.S. Open, in Southampton New York, and other major Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) events get large coverage across the United States and Canada.

We will even go as low to watch some random golf event in between the occasional Pro-Cornhole and Bowling matches that will be on in the middle of July.

College sports like softball and baseball get the main ESPN television coverage over the summer, which sees top college athletes get screentime. College baseball games are only there, however, so that you can learn your heckling skills before you go to the big field in St. Pete.

Still, it should be fun to watch.
