Gianna Platt- Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- As graduation approaches, Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) seniors who have completed Cambridge Assessment International Education AICE courses are being reminded to complete one final and important step.
All eligible seniors must send their official Cambridge transcripts to the colleges or universities they plan to attend.
According to a recent notice from Cambridge University, students in Florida who have taken any Cambridge International AS or A level exams, including those taken during this school year and in previous years, should use the Cambridge Grade Transcript Service to pre-order an official transcript.
This ensures that colleges can review exam results as soon as they’re released and award any applicable college credit or advanced placement.
LRHS Principial Dustin Dahlquist said, “If you took AICE General Paper with (English teachers) Mr. (Jacob) Garfield or Dr. (Sara) Jensen, your college or university will not know you earned that credit unless they receive your official Cambridge transcript.”

Sending an official Cambridge transcript gives a college or university the information they need to award possible English or Humanities credit and place students in the correct writing courses.
Without it, Mustangs could be assigned to lower level or extra classes that aren’t needed. This is the only step that ensures work in AICE General Paper counts after students enroll.
In some cases, students may receive up to 45 credits by exam, potentially saving both time and tuition costs.
Some colleges do not publicly list a Cambridge credit policy, but admissions and registrar offices often evaluate official results after a student has enrolled. Without an official transcript on file, colleges may not know which exams a student has completed or what scores students earned.
Mustang seniors that have taken AICE courses are encouraged to complete this step as soon as possible, to ensure proper placement and a smoother start to freshman year of college.
