(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)--The Mustang Players drama club closed out the school year with a night of celebration, memories, and recognition at their annual theatre banquet held Friday May 15 at the Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) auditorium.
One of the biggest moments of the evening was the induction of several Mustangs into the International Thespian Society (ITS). Students earned this honor by accumulating at least 10 points through service and participation in the club, with each point representing 10 hours of work.
Seniors were recognized with heartfelt speeches given by the underclassmen, while graduating members shared “senior wills,” sentimental gifts and messages passed down to younger students in the program.
Junior Daniela Vallarta also reflected on the importance of the banquet tradition.
“The end of the year banquet is always a well anticipated treat for our club,” Vallarta said. “This tradition always helps us put all the things we have achieved into perspective.”
A video compilation featuring memories from the year was also played as students reflected on performances, friendships, and experiences shared through theatre. Leadership for the upcoming school year was announced during the banquet as well.

For many students, the banquet served as a final chance to celebrate together before the school year comes to a close. Junior Olivia Holden shared that she especially enjoyed the atmosphere of the event.
“I always love to attend our end of the year banquet,” Holden said. “It’s so fun to get all dolled up and celebrate my senior friends.”
