Research suggests that Model UN can provide more than just an average extracurricular activity.
A 2020 study done by Augusta University found that 83 students had significant statistical improvements in skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication after completing a Model UN course. Researchers reported a large effect size, suggesting that the improvements were substantial.
Meetings will provide students with opportunities to learn how Model UN works, prepare for conferences, and practice the skills needed to represent their country.
Students will also have the chance to collaborate with other members and become more comfortable public speaking Infront of other students.
Following this meeting, there will be a meeting every other Thursday morning.
