Paul Jordan - Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) varsity football team beat the Moore Haven Terriers 35-6 in last Friday's "Kickoff Classic."

The Terriers scored first after a deep touchdown from Moore Haven's Quarterback, giving them a 6-0 lead.

After that first score, the Mustangs scored two more touchdowns, giving them the lead going into halftime.

Senior Right Tackle Edward Grayson said, "the game was pretty slow to start off but by the end of the first half we started to get it together, which helped us dominate in the second half."

Coming out of halftime, the Mustangs dominated until they pushed the lead to 35-6 for the win in the only preseason game of the year.

Head Coach Scott Paravicini gave his thoughts on how the season is going to look.

"I think we have a lot of good guys and a lot of unknown; it all comes down to these next few practices until the next game,” said Paravicini.
