Abigail Whittemore – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) HOPE Ambassadors is looking for new members for the 2026-27 school year.

Hope Ambassadors invites new Mustangs to join at their first interest meeting at 7a.m. Friday, Aug. 21 in the Media Center.

Hope Ambassadors focuses on leadership opportunities and spreading positivity throughout the campus. Members will take part in community service hours during school days with no outside school commitment.

LRHS School Counselor and HOPE Ambassadors Adviser Anastasia Verno noted, "At meetings, we are either planning or we are working on whatever event is coming. After those meetings we usually have events once a month that also happen during the school day."

Meetings take place twice per month before school at 7 a.m.

Events usually take place either before school or during lunch periods.

Verno also spoke on what kind of student this club attracts, "HOPE ambassadors has always been natural leaders that are in the school, people who are comfortable talking with and interacting with others, we also have students in there who just want to spread positivity without being super outgoing or extraverts."
