(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) boys soccer team tryouts are scheduled for next week.

Soccer season is right around the corner at LRHS, and players are getting ready to show off their skills and compete for a spot on the team.

Due to rainy weather, the boys soccer tryouts will begin 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 on the football field.

Players should come prepared with cleats, shin guards, and running sneakers.

All athletes must also complete their athletic clearance paperwork online before participating.

LRHS Head Coach Vito Bavaro says he is looking for more than just soccer skills. Being in shape, having a positive attitude, and showing mental and physical strength are all important qualities he wants to see.

Tryouts will continue through Friday and into the following week, giving players the opportunity to prove themselves.
