Pursuant to Florida Statute 381.992, school districts must annually notify parents/guardians of VPK, kindergarten and first grade students regarding the availability of Type 1 Diabetes Early Detection materials provided by the Florida Department of Health (FDOH).

Materials include information on Type 1 Diabetes, warning signs, risk factors, screening, and followup recommendations.
