On Wednesday, creativity took center stage at Blackburn Elementary as our first graders celebrated National Poetry Month in a truly special way. 🌸📖
During the inaugural “Voices in Bloom” Poetry Slam, students proudly shared their original haikus with classmates, teachers, and families. With the support of their fourth grade buddies, these young writers collaborated to craft meaningful poems that beautifully showcased their interests, learning, and passions.
Adding to the excitement, several students were recognized with special awards for their creativity, highlighting the unique voices and imaginative spirit present in each poem. 🌼✨
