Uniform Policy
-
Uniforms are an important part of our school’s identity. They have a positive impact on students’ learning and behavior at school, reduce non-academic distractions, serve to unite students, and help to eliminate barriers between students. Uniforms promote greater school spirit, and research shows that having pride in one’s school can be a powerful motivator.
Oneco Elementary School students are expected to participate in our school’s uniform policy daily beginning the first day of school. ALL students must wear uniforms.
DAILY Uniform
- SHIRTS – Students may wear SOLID green (any shade), red, navy blue, or white polo-style (collared) shirts. Oneco spirit shirts may also be worn.
- PANTS/SKIRTS/SHORTS/SKORTS/JUMPER – Student may wear navy blue or khaki pants, skirts, shorts, skorts, dresses or jumpers. The length of shorts, skorts, jumpers and skirts must be appropriate length (defined as no shorter than above the tips of the fingers, with arms and hands extended straight down). All bottoms must fit and fasten at the waist. Leggings, spandex, or jeggings are not permitted.
- JEANS - Student may also wear blue or black jeans. Jeans with holes, patches, and frays are NOT PERMITTED.
- SHOES – Shoes must be closed toe and back or sneakers for safety reasons. Students may not wear crocs to school.
Cold Weather

Student Dress Down Days
Students may participate in special "dress down" days throughout the school year. These opportunities will be communicated to students and families via planners/agendas, the school's Facebook page, email, and voice messages.
Parents are asked to notify the school if assistance is needed.
