American Red Cross
American Red Cross mission statement is “The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.” The beneficiaries of the services that the organization offers are the major focus of this mission statement.
At BHRS, ARC provides opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the community by addressing its greatest needs and developing leadership skills. The ARC empowers members with knowledge and life-saving skills to help prepare the school and community to respond to emergencies. We also serve the community in various charitable capacities. Open membership; however, lack of attendance / participation results in withdrawal from club. Dues are 10 dollars (which go toward purchase of t-shirt). Meetings are in room 617 on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.
Students in ARC get to help with local events benefiting organizations like the Arthritis Foundation, Inc. Members also work together and participate in school events, like Homecoming!
