Manatee County is leading the state of Florida in offering innovative projects related to STEM education. Among those initiatives, every public elementary school in Manatee County must have a dedicated STEM instructor to work with every grade level, starting in kindergarten.At Manatee Elementary, our STEM curriculum focuses on practical application of science and technology to supplement classroom learning. The program offers applied math, engineering basics, movement and mechanics, and other related subjects.
Manatee Elementary's community partnership program helps students understand and apply STEM topics to real-life problem-solving. Our STEM instructor organizes field trips and invites expert speakers like meteorologists or climate scientists to talk about their work.
Our teacher gives our students a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering, and math. STEM education helps young students think critically and creatively about the world around them. It also prepares them to be the leaders who will shape the future economy and global marketplace.
