Manatee Elementary Mandatory 2024-2025 Uniform Policy
A Uniform Policy is designed to promote school unity and pride, create a safe and positive climate, and ensure a distraction-free learning environment. Students are to come dressed for success each day. The following establishes the acceptable standard for student dress and is enforced by the administration and staff at Manatee Elementary.

Uniform Top Piece
Shirt/Blouse/Sweaters (Only Red, White and Navy Blue)
-Red, White, or Blue Short or Long-Sleeved Collared Golf Style Shirt
-Red, White, or Blue Short or Long-Sleeved Button Down Collared Shirts
-Red, White, or Blue Short or Long Sleeved Collared Blouses
-Red, White, or Blue Long Sleeved Turtleneck Shirts
-Red, White, or Blue Pullover Sweater (optional for cooler weather, no writing)
-Red, White, or Blue Cardigan Sweaters (optional for cooler weather)
All shirts must be long enough to always remain tucked in at the waist and must contain a collar. Outer jackets, for cool days, do not need to be uniform. If you wish to wear a sweater or jacket in the classroom, it must be a uniform color with no printing or design. Pullover sweatshirts with hoods are not allowed to be worn on the head throughout the day.

Uniform Bottom Piece
(Only Khaki or Navy Blue)
-Pants -relaxed or classic fit. No cargo pants, baggy pants or jeans (denim) Jean days will take place on select Fridays ONLY.
-Khaki or Navy-Blue Shorts -below fingertip length
-Khaki or Navy-Blue Capris
-Khaki or Navy-Blue Pleated jumpers - plain Khaki or Navy-Blue Jumpers - plain
-Khaki or Navy-Blue Skirts/Skorts—must fall 3” above the knee
Pants and skirts must fit at the natural waist. Shorts under skirts are recommended. A plain black or brown belt must be worn if the bottoms contain belt loops.

Shoes and Accessories
- No open toe or open heeled shoes. No slides, platforms or clogs, which include Crocs and no shoes with wheels.
- No sunglasses, hats, visors, bandanas, suspenders or beachwear.
- No artificial fingernails. Artificial tattoos are discouraged, if they are inappropriate for a school child, they will have to be removed.
- No hair coloring or styles that may be a distraction to other students.
