PYP Academic Admissions Policy

Louise R. Johnson K-8 School of International Studies is a 100% Choice School in Manatee County, Florida. As such, any student wishing to attend has the opportunity to apply for admission into the PYP through the School District of Manatee County FOCUS portal. Applications are reviewed and approved based on open seats at each grade level. Students previous school history is taken into account for approval, specifically in regard to attendance and behavior. Families are notified by the Office of Student Assignment if they are approved.

Choice can be revoked for students who do not adhere to district attendance and behavior guidelines.  

We will reflect on our admission policy to make revisions on an annual basis to represent our new learning.
