Topics Mandated for Instruction by the Florida Department of Education
The State Board of Education has approved three new rules related to health education topics that will mandate instruction across all grade levels, beginning with the 2019-2020 school year. These new rules and instructional topics include mental and emotional health; substance use and abuse prevention; and child trafficking prevention.
