    Grade 6

    Students will become familiar with the sources of technology, technology systems, and the evolution of technology. Students will be taught the design processes as they challenge themselves to solve innovative problems.

     


    Exploration of Production Technology 

    CTE Course 8600040- Exploration of Production Technology

    Grade 7

    Students will build on skills previously mastered while exploring new modern technologies and ways to innovate within the classroom. The content of this course includes but is not limited to providing the opportunity to solve technological problems using a variety of tools, materials, processes and systems while gaining an understanding of the effects of production technology on our everyday lives.

     


    Applied Engineering Technology I

    CTE Course 8401110- Applied Engineering Technology I

    Note: Year-long high school credit course, pre-requisites required

    Grade 8 

    The purpose of this program is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experience in the study of applied engineering and its effect upon our lives and the choosing of an occupation. The content and activities will also include the study of electronics, alternative energies, advanced robotics, safety, and leadership skills.

    TECHNOLOGY STUDENT ASSOCIATION (TSA) COURSE

    TSA is a Department of Education encouraged student organization designed to enhance a technology education program, build confidence, provide extra-curricular activities and foster leadership skills for students.
