The Palmetto High School SAVE Club was started during the 2022-2023 school year and is sponsored by Social Studies teacher Barbara Brunner. This year, the student leaders from the PHS SAVE Club brought members of the Palmetto PD, Manatee County Sheriff's Department, Florida Highway Patrol, local paramedics and firefighters to their campus to celebrate First Responders during Say Something Week from April 1st-5th. Students across campus interacted with first responders and made a pledge to be an upstander when it comes to school safety. This is the second year in a row the PHS SAVE Promise Club has brought these hometown heroes to their school.
