Counseling Services

The School District of Manatee County offers a variety of counseling supports, programs, and resources to meet the needs of all students. Each school has at least one full-time school counselor, part-time school social worker and school psychologist, and access to a contracted licensed mental health therapist or intern.

The needs of our students and schools vary across the district. Using school data, each school creates a plan to meet the needs of their students and staff.

For example, this video shows a plan that provided student athletes at Lakewood Ranch High School the opportunity to learn about specific topics related to being an athlete, and resources available in the local community.
