  • Our Mission
    The mission of the Communications, Family, and Community Engagement Department is to provide valuable, timely, helpful, and interesting information to students, parents, employees, and community residents regarding the operations, endeavors, and achievements of the School District of Manatee County.

    Whether it is highlighting student successes on social media, developing innovative programs for school volunteers and business partners, explaining new educational initiatives on MSTV, or working with local Emergency Management leaders and area media in the midst of crisis; the Communications, Family and Community Engagement Department is here to keep you informed and involved in our students and schools.

    Since 2015, the department’s team of professionals have won three Golden Achievement Awards from the National School Public Relations Association (2017, 2018, 2021), two state-wide awards from the Sunshine State School Public Relations Association (2017-2018), and received an Angel Award for excellence in public service advertising (2021). The team also assisted the school district in passing three county-wide voter referendums in 2016, 2018, and 2021.
