State Assessments

  • Home Education and Private School students are NOT required to participate in state assessments administered by Florida public school districts. If you want to participate, please follow these instructions:

    Review Test Dates
Review the K-12 Uniform Assessment Calendar to see available tests and dates.

    Register Early to Schedule Tests
Complete the State Assessment Registration for the desired test(s). Please submit the form at least five (5) business days prior to the published testing window. Early registration is encouraged. The form will be submitted to the Assessment, Accountability, and Research department to schedule the test(s).

    Mandatory Practice Test
Students must take a State Assessment Practice Test before they can take a state assessment test for that subject. You are responsible for ensuring that your student takes the practice test using the appropriate platform.

    Finalize Details with Zoned School
The Testing Coordinator at your zoned school will contact you prior to the test to confirm test date, time and location. If you have questions, you may use the School Directory to call your zoned school and ask for the Testing Coordinator.

    Verify Identity on Test Day
Students MUST present photo identification to school staff to verify their identity on test day. Please ensure that your student brings a school ID, Passport or Florida-issued Photo ID. Florida ID cards can be purchased at a local branch of the Department of Motor Vehicles.
